The Challenge

As you read the article based on my reflections of the Great Depression of the 1930s here is the challenge....

Given our global society, how do we empower the local communities to take its role in the world?

  1. I enjoyed reading your memories.
One thought that struck me since I've been working on the panel Race Relations in America is the animal instinct we all possess which I call the Pecking-Order Mentality. The way we look at people (or countries) and think, "I'm stronger/more successful/better" than that one. It's a mentality we need to get past in order to improve race, gender, and perhaps economic conditions. It's not impossible for most people....just not instinctive.
